Do you expect Obama to have a magical wand?

Does anyone other than me find it curious that president Obama is expected by many to be able to undue the disastrous results of 8 years of the George W. Bush and republican controlled congress' policies?

I truly wish that CNN, MSNBC, especially FOX News and for that matter the other television and radio network news outlets, as well as right and left wing talk radio, would just go away. Yeah right, like that is ever going to happen. I once had a friend who called the t.v. "the idiot box." I certainly understand his opinion of t.v. As if we Americans are not already dumb enough, we constantly turn on the "idiot box" to fill us with propaganda of all sorts. After years of having only NPR (and thank God for NPR) to somewhat offset the incredulous abundance of far right talk radio, a few years ago I purchased XM radio to expand my choices. I soon learned that leftist talk radio was not much better if any better at all.

The Internet is an excellent place to find more propaganda and bs but it also an excellent tool to source and find legitimate information. Newspapers, yeah I know they seem like dinosaurs but you can find most of them online too, magazines and good old fashioned books will help keep us "public" aware.

Will 2012 get here soon enough? LOL
