I found your job

I recently came off a 6 months sabbatical from the small business that I own. I took an over the road truck driving job to do some research. What I found was your job and many of the other jobs that the Bush administration has reportedly created over the past 6 years.

Without being too specific, I drove an 18 wheeler for the largest privately owned trucking company in America and worked on a dedicated account. The dedicated account that I worked for was a very large publicly held company. I made pickups and deliveries.

I thought it was very odd that when I would enter one of these large company's manufacturing or shipping facilities signs were posted everywhere with strict orders. Drivers are ordered to not attempt to use the break rooms, restrooms or any building entrance other than shipping and receiving. There were several times when shipping and receiving was out to lunch or who knows what and I was left befuddled. "Can't I go look for someone to accept this delivery?" I thought. Or, "where will I find the person responsible to sign my papers for pickup?" I began to wonder if they actually thought us truck drivers were going to steal their formula for toothpaste or something. I was confused. "I am not even allowed to use the restroom" I thought. No, I was not even allowed to use the restroom.

And then after two or three times of being forced to go look for someone who could release a "load" or accept a "delivery" I realized why all of the secrecy. The factory workers, and I witnessed this in several different factories in several different states, were 80 percent young non English speaking men and women.

I realized then why all of the secrecy. Hiring illegal immigrants to replace American citizens saves the big corporations lots of money.

There you have it. If you lost your job sometime over the last 6 years I found it. I also found those jobs that Bush and the republicans said they had created. They weren't lying about it after all. The jobs they created just were not for American citizens.
