GOP tries to cut Senior Citizens benefits

The republican's efforts to overhaul Social Security will cut benefits to Senior Citizens according to the Democrats.

Who do you believe on this old man and old woman or loved one of an elderly person?
Do you really want the republicans messing with your social security benefits? Do you remember the lies about Weapons of Mass Destruction and the lies about Iraq's ties to 9-11?

North Korea's nukes could kill you and Bush don't care

A story running across the ticker on CNN yesterday (9-23-06) said thatNorth Korea told a visiting U.S. scholar that to enhance their nuclear weapons capabilities they have begun to unload fuel rods from their nuclear reactor to obtain more weapons grade plutonium to force the U.S. to return to negotitations.

I thought Bush had labeled North Korea as one of the three members of the "Axis of Evil?"
Does it not concern you that Bush has done no negotiating with the North Koreans to try and resolve this real national security threat? Why hasn't the Cowboy wannabe invaded North Korea?

Once again Bush and the republicans only lie when they say that they are strong on national security. Like most of the lies that spew from their mouths like vomit just saying it doesn't make it so. The proof is in the pudding not in the vomit.

No Child Left Behind, more lies and corruption

According to the AP (Associated Press) a recent Internal Federal Government Audit found that the $1 Billion Reading Program that is a key part of the Bush administration's No Child Left Behind Education Law "was mismanaged and rife with conflicts of interest."

This is sad and pathetic.

I'm tired of the republicans saying they stand for things like Education and the proof turns out to be completely opposite of their claims. Just as a previous blog of mine reported that Bush's most recent budget cut millions in secondary education this mismanagement of the reading program is an example of the republicans talking out of both sides of their mouth to get voters to vote for them.

Will you people ever wake up. Just because someone says something doesn't mean that it is so.
Why do you continue to give the republicans your vote when they do nothing but lie, cheat and steal to and from you?

Let me put it to you this way. White is white and black is black no matter what the republicans say. Two plus two is still four and air and water are still essential to human life.

How much of their crap will you continue to believe? If the republican party was indeed "for" all of the things they lie and say they are I would be a republican. You must not allow them to convince you that they are for education when their own audit finds mismanagement and conflicts of interests in the No Child Left Behind Program and their federal budget cut secondary education benefits by millions.

Don't let the republicans or the right wing media tell you that the Democrats don't stand for anything. See my previous blog "Democratic Stand" for proof. Read some books (I'm currently ready T. Christian Miller's "Blood Money" and would encourage you to do the same) and magazines. Read several different newspapers and watch CSpan. I would urge you to get informed with the truth. Get informed about the facts. Get concerned for your future and vote Democrat in the November 7th election before you don't have a pot to piss in or any civil rights either.

Kansas Kool Aid Party Calling All Neocons

The following is a response received by a friend of mine from a friend of his after my friend had received an email from her exhaulting Bush and his administration. My friends email is not included but her response follows and is italicized and the font is yellow. I felt yellow was an appropriate color for a coward. My response to her then follows in bold type.

You are obviously concerned for your safety which is indicated by your statements about Al Queda and Bin Laden, as am I. If I know you as well as I think I do, you are not against governments providing security for their people. I guess what you don’t realize or don’t want to accept is the fact that the general public is not well informed of all of the covert activities that are going on around the world. The press does an excellent job in reporting only a small portion of the facts. You are partially right in your assumption that this war is not about 9/11 or weapons of mass destruction. When in actuality it is partially a direct attempt to show Al Queda/Bin Laden that their attacks on us will not be tolerated, but also a response to Iraq's request for our help/aid/protection from these terrorist groups in their country, as well as from their own corrupt government.
Violence is happening 24/7 around the world. Man’s rebellious nature is the root of all of this discord. As you are aware, greed and control of power is also part of that mind set. It is the responsibility of a governing body to protect, educate and promote an environment of security for the population NOT one of suppression, fear, neglect, and anarchy.
We are truly a blessed nation. Yes, we have gone to the aid of many, sometimes in a manner not pleasing to all those standing on the sidelines ready to criticize and “bash” the actions our government has taken. The U.S.A. is damned if they do and damned if they don’t. If we are aware of the atrocities occurring around the world and do nothing, we are “hung” in the press. If we respond to the situation, we are “the ugly American” being burned in effigy. (Should we not get involved?… It is like being a by-stander observing while someone is beaten to death, or ignoring the cries of help…because we do not want to get involved!!) I think we will be held accountable. If we sit by, like Clinton, for example, who knew for years exactly where Bin Laden was and chose to do nothing, where will this get us? Well, we found out on 9/11. So many want to blame Bush for everything, when in reality, many presidents in our past have been in a position to prevent the unfortunate events that have occurred. You know as well as I do that so many events that have been committed against our country have been directly linked to Muslims dating back to Bobby Kennedy, the Munich Olympics, the US embassy being taken over in Iran (1979), the 80s kidnapping of Americans in Beirut, US marine barracks being blown up in Beirut in '83, the 1985 hijacking of a cruise ship (an elderly, handicapped American was thrown overboard), the 1985 TWA hijacked in Athens, Pan Am flight 103, 1993 World Trade Center bombing, Daniel Pearl kidnapped and murdered, 2004 Spain railway bombings, 2005 London railway bombings, just to name a few. Again I ask, do we just sit back and do nothing? How long should we continue to let these groups do this to us, and other countries? President Bush is finally a president who is not afraid of the poll ratings and what his decisions are going to do to his ratings. He is doing what the president of the US is supposed to do, and that is to protect the citizens of this country. Why is that so wrong? I'm sorry too that so many have lost their lives. But I'd be willing to bet my own life that every single American soldier that has died for our freedom, and fighting for the freedom of those Iraqis who have asked for our help, would do it all over again. I'd also bet my own life that the folks who lost their lives on 9/11 would also be supporting the attempts at defending this country and the very acts that placed them in their untimely graves. What do you think?
It would be wonderful if we lived in the “ideal” world where everyone lived by the “Golden Rule” ( which most people today do not even know what you are talking about when you say ‘golden rule’)… Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. Scripture states that the very heart of man is evil. It does not seek God.
You mentioned the Ten Commandments. The “Law” was given to show man’s need for a redeemer because man could not keep the law. Scripture tells us that the law condemns. Without the shed blood of Jesus Christ, we are condemned. You may want to do some Bible reading because God allowed many wars to happen throughout the Bible, including war against his own chosen people when they chose to defy him, worship other gods, idols, etc. I know you've heard of Sodom and Gomorra, the Red Sea, just to name 2. Thou Shalt Not Kill refers to killing with malice and intent, NOT protection and aid. I believe the war we are in now, is for protection and aid. The Bible warns of terrible wars bringing this world as we know it to an end. The end could be closer than we think.
Every day I pray for President Bush and the decisions he must make on a daily basis. I suggest you do the same. It is our job as citizens of this wonderful country to come together as one, support our President, and fight for everything our founding fathers originally intended for our country.

My response to the email titled “Greed Control and Power”

Greed Control and Power? hmmm – War Profiteering ….Haliburton (Dick Cheney), Kellogg, Brown and Root…over charging the U.S. citizens millions of dollars for rebuilding of the Iraqi infrastructure and Iraq is still below pre war levels when it comes to water and electric two very basic needs that we take for granted here in the United States.. Furthermore what was Donald Rumsfeld doing prior to becoming Defense Secretary? He was a CEO in the Pharmaceutical Industry. It was the Pharmaceutical Industry that the republicans allowed to write the most recent health care bill. It was the Oil Industry that Bush and Cheney allowed to secretly write our most recent Energy Bill and look at the record profits of the Oil Companies while you and I have been paying out the nose for gasoline this past summer. What about Darfur? Genocide has been happening in Darfur long before and ever since our illegal invasion of Iraq. Tens of thousands are being killed in Darfur monthly yet we have no concern. Hmmm….no oil in Darfur. And no big cities where we can give five year no bid contracts to the likes of Haliburton to “rebuild infrastructure.” Get a clue!

Since it is the government body’s obligation to protect why have our nuclear power plants not been protected? Why is the United Arab Emirates (home to two of the 911 hijackers) in charge of our Ports where terrorists can not only speak the native tongue of their fellow Arabs but could easily breach security by simply finding other like minded Islamic jihadists manning our ports sympathetic to their cause? Are you not concerned about the fact that most of the recommendations of the 911 Commission have not been implemented by Bush or the republican controlled congress? Cargo that flies with you and your children when you fly is not screened. Does that not concern you? Do you not care about the safety of your own children? Or are you to starry eyed by your deceivers? Why are our borders still not protected? This does not concern you? Do you know how easy it would be for terrorists to cross our borders? Many of them probably already have and are here ready to show us that our illegal killing of hundreds of thousands of innocent babies, children and woman will not be tolerated. I am not aware of anyone in Iraq asking us to come slaughter over one hundred thousand innocent babies, children and woman. It saddens me that you and a few other ignorant Americans think it is justified to kill brown people who have never threatened or harmed you. Timothy McVeigh was from Kansas. Your logic indicates that we should have murdered everyone in Kansas for his actions. And of course if we follow that ridiculous thinking through we should have over thrown the state government of Nebraska to teach the people of Kansas a lesson that Timothy McVeigh types will not be tolerated.

Our “freedom” was never jeopardized by Iraq, its leader or its people. It is sad that chicken hawks like Cheney and Bush who never served to protect their country when called upon can so easily get you to drink their kool aid. If we were stupid enough to believe as you do that this illegal war in Iraq is or was about our “freedom” why then are you so willing to surrender the Bill of Rights? Is there anything in the Bill of Rights that you think are worth keeping? Bush has eliminated the first amendment by replacing free speech with “free speech zones.” Bush and the republican controlled congress (by their failure of over sight) has destroyed the fourth amendment by engaging in warrant less illegal wiretaps of hundreds of thousands innocent Americans. Bush and the republican controlled congress have eliminated the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth amendments by doing away with habeas corpus by kidnapping, torturing, imprisoning without trial or even allowing the victims to hear the evidence against them. Many of these men have been turned in by bounty hunters in foreign lands with out any justification what so ever and without any links, ties to or interest in terrorism.

So what freedoms are who fighting to protect and where? This seems more like a diversion tactic to get mindless idiots to drink the kool aid.

Since you have forgotten about what our fore fathers actually wanted and intended by giving us the Constitution and the Bill of Rights I would beg of you to move to a country where you won’t have to be bothered by such. Maybe you should move to China. I mean after all since the Bush administration and the republican controlled congress have squandered your children’s fiscal future (the multi billion dollar surplus when Clinton left office and replaced it with a record multi billion dollar deficit) and are borrowing 2 billion dollars a day from countries like China just to stay afloat China practically owns us now anyway. And after all since you do not care about your children’s future, their lives or their livelihood (see proof above) you shouldn’t mind living in a communist country.

Get a clue or move to another country. This is America. We have a constitution and the Bill of Rights. The majority of us are not participating in the Kansas Kool Aid Party and we are not about to let you destroy our constitution and Bill of Rights. It is a sad day in American when us liberals care more about the children of you neocons than you do. Please stop having children. Save them from yourselves!

Us liberals fully supported and still support the war in Afghanistan. Afghanistan was where Bin Laden trained Al Qaeda. Afghanistan was where the Taliban (former friends of George W. Bush) aided and abetted Bin Laden and Al Qaeda. Where is Bin Laden? Are the Bush’s secretly still doing business with the Bin Ladens?

Us liberals will fight for our freedoms and yours which our forefathers granted us in the Constitution and the Bill of Rights while you cowardly neocons drink the kool aid. We will also not sit around or be pushed around by you foolish kool aid drinkers who are hell bent on letting this autocratic dictator (so he thinks) and his lap dog republican neocon fascist Congress destroy our Constitution and Bill of Rights.

You are obviously one of those people who take from the Bible what works for you. You also distort the messages to justify your sins. The Ten Commandments does not say Thou shall not kill except to defend and aid. Where did you get that crap? Has your husband ever slept in the same bed as you when you were on your period? I’m sure he has. The Bible says that a man shall be put to death if he sleeps in the same bed as a woman who is on her period. You are not allowed to pick and chose which parts of the Bible you want to enforce. You say that the war in Iraq is to defend us and aid us. How are we defended by this illegal war? Do you not understand that more terrorists are created as a result of this illegal war than existed before? As evil as Saddam was he would have killed any Al Qaeda operative that attempted to pull up roots in Iraq. Al Qaeda is against secular Islamic nations. Saddam was a secular dictator. Get a clue! This illegal war is also not aiding America. It is aiding big corporations like Haliburton and Kellogg Brown and Root. Get a clue. This illegal war in Iraq has also further destabilized the Middle East. Saddam fooled his neighbors into believing he was a threat and thereby kept them in check. Saddam wanted no part of the United States or the Coalition that defeated him after he illegally invaded Kuwait. Now look what is happening in the Middle East. Are you aware of the Civil War in Iraq? Or does Iraqis killing Iraqis to the tune of about 3000 a month not constitute a Civil War to you? Get a clue! Do you remember the very recent war between Israel and Hezbollah? Do you hear the talk and threats coming out of Iran to make nuclear weapons?

Your ridiculous leaders, Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld have lately been calling the resistors in Iraq “Islamofascist.” If China, Russia or Mexico invaded the United States I would be fighting them even though I think we need a regime change here too. I hope that you would be fighting them too. You idiots are so easily fooled. Let me remind you of the definition of fascism. 1) A political philosophy, movement, or regime that exalts nation and often race above the individual and that stands for a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader; sever economic and social regimentation, and forcible suppression of opposition. 2) A tendency toward or actual exercise of strong autocratic or dictatorial control. Al Qaeda is a terrorist organization with a screwed up ideology. It is not a country and it is not a dictator. Bush’s actions and words are indicative of an autocratic dictator and his administration operates like the definition of a fascist regime. Fascism is fascism. Bush has always accused his enemy of being him. This is no different. Get a clue.

November 7th 2006 is our opportunity to bring back some checks and balances to our government. Vote democrat to see that our democracy survives!
